Parliament Buildings driveway

I have walked the driveway of Victoria’s Parliament buildings many times, but I haven’t paid much attention to the pavement until this small bit of brass caught my eye. A quick Google and the patent and company history comes to life.

There are many such things out there which sit unnoticed but despite their size can tell us a lot.
