Viaduct and tunnels

The construction project at the corner of Beatty and Georgia has removed the last remaining portions of the original Georgia Viaduct. There were until quite recently portions of the railings and street lights set in a park design in the 1970s when the new viaducts opened.

Underneath the construction is a portion of the 1930’s CPR freight tunnel used to move trains to Burrard Inlet from False Creek. I’m assuming that will be demolished as well.
