What’s up with Chinatown?

wongs1Chinatown, a complex and fascinating neighbourhood and Vancouver’s oldest community is now one of Canada’s newest National Historic sites.

Join John Atkin and Jeannette Hlavach, authors of the application for historic site status, as they explore the history and development of this area and look at what it takes to get a place on the national register.

Tuesday, February 19, from 7:30 – 9:00PM We are meeting at the University Women’s Club of Vancouver at Hycroft (1489 McRae Avenue, at 16th and Granville), in the Drawing room. Free parking available on McRae Avenue and The Crescent. Please come a few minutes early to check-in and get comfortable.
